On this day in history (November 18, 1985), The Jesus And Mary Chain released their debut studio album Psychocandy featuring their staple single Just Like Honey. This was a landmark album that influenced the shoegaze genre with it’s use of heavy guitar feedback. Rolling Stone magazine referred to the sound of Psychocandy as “bubblegum pop drowned in feedback”.
