There are some bands that you should just never try to cover. Cocteau Twins is one such band and tackling Cherry Coloured Funk seems like a dangerous move for an up and coming band. That said, Arctic Lake hit a home run with this beautiful rendition

In 2018, Australian singer Hatchie (Harriette Pitbeam) gained a lot of attention with her Cocteau Twins sounding medley of dream pop and shoegaze. In fact, her debut EP Sugar & Spice even featured a remix of the track Sure by none other then Robin Guthrie. Hatchie is back with a new single called Without A Blush.
Most of my current musical taste has been sculpted by the music from the legendary Detroit radio show, Big Sonic Heaven – hosted by Darren Revell. That show pioneered a new music movement that celebrated modern ethereal music featuring a variety of dreampop, trip hop, brit pop and more.
