As previously reported here on Strangeways, Morrissey is set to release his next studio album I Am Not A Dog On A Chain on March 20. This first single is out today, and it is called “Bobby, Don’t You Think They Know” featuring Motown legend Thelma Houston on background vocals.
A photography exhibit titled “To Morrissey, With Love” opens today at the Elham Art Gallery in the city of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
According to several Morrissey fan sites, the artist is scheduled to release his next album of original material called I Am Not A Dog On A Chain in March 2020
Illustrator Butcher Billy has treated us with his rendition of DC and Marvel comic book covers featuring some of our favorite post punk icons. He has returned with a new collection that feature our heroes on Archie comic book covers. This includes a much anticipated battle between Morrissey and Robert Smith!
Morrissey has released a new video for the track Some Say I Got Devil off of his album of covers, California Son. The track was originally recorded by Melanie in 1971.
Morrissey left us with a treat on Record Store Day. He released a single for Lover To Be, which was a bonus track from his latest solo album Low In High School. The b-side for the record store day 7″ release is a previously unreleased track called I Thought You Were Dead.
In what must feel like a kick in the gut to our Canadian friends, Morrissey’s facebook page announced that the first two shows, and maybe more, of his Canadian tour have been cancelled.
Morrissey has announced a 2019 US Fall Tour with special guest Interpol. Pre-sale starts tomorrow April 10th at 10am local time. General on-sale this Friday April 12th.
Morrissey has released the 3rd single from his forthcoming California Son covers album. This track features backing vocals from Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.
