This article highlights some of the new music that was released the week ending March 01, 2019. This was a light week for new releases but we have picked out a diverse collection of songs featuring some post punk, synth pop, and psychedelic rock. Something for everybody this week.
Kuta
Kuta is a solo project from the singer of Press Gang Metropol. I Cry At Parties sounds like if Psychedelic Furs recorded a post punk single for a John Hughes movie. Sound good? The EP also features a song collaboration with M83’s Nicolas Fromageau.
The Cranberries
This single is taken from The Cranberries’ final upcoming album “In The End”, scheduled to be released on April 24. The album will feature 11 tracks that the band were working on prior to the death of singer Dolores. It will be a bitter-sweet goodbye that the band is releasing for their fans.
Futurecop! with Parallels
Two of the most prolific modern synthpop groups teamed up for this new single. This is a super infectious tune worthy of inclusion on the Drive soundtrack. Perfect toe-tapping synth beats with beautiful female pop vocals. The single features four difference remixes, but this Radio Wolf remix stood out to us as the winner.
Pond
Taken from the album Tasmania that was released today. Pond is an Australian indie/psychedelic rock band featuring a few members from Tame Impala.
