This article highlights some of the new music that was released the week ending March 01, 2019. This was a light week for new releases but we have picked out a diverse collection of songs featuring some post punk, synth pop, and psychedelic rock. Something for everybody this week
With the release of new Chromatics and the announcement of their tour with Desire, it felt like a good time to revisit the theme of Music Inspired by the Drive Soundtrack. This is a collection of smooth synth tracks with a consistent pulsating beat. These tunes are great to listen to while driving in the sunset and wearing your favorite pastel colors.
This is a great remix of dreamy retro synthwave / synthpop which bring together Canada’s Parallels and UK’s Futurecop! . All of the elements, including soaring vocals by Parallels’ Holly Dodson, come together beautifully, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from Futurecop!’s upcoming 2019 album release.
