This last song from Star Horse is a new site favorite, with roots deep in the Shoegaze/Dreampop category. It’s a wonderfully blissed out mellow track, with vocals that feature ethereal female vocals for the verses, layered male/female harmornies for the chorus and perfectly fuzzed out, catchy guitar riffs. The Slowdive influence is easily inferred here, but one of the greatest strengths of this song may be something that we don’t often see in others sharing the genre; it’s brevity. In its short 3 minute 55 second time frame, the listener is left wanting more; lending it to be a contender for multiple playbacks in one setting without much likelihood for listener burn out. Check it out once and I bet you’ll be back for more in no time.
