With the release of new Chromatics and the announcement of their tour with Desire, it felt like a good time to revisit the theme of Music Inspired by the Drive Soundtrack. This is a collection of smooth synth tracks with a consistent pulsating beat. These tunes are great to listen to while driving in the sunset and wearing your favorite pastel colors.
This is Volume 3 of one of my favorite genre’s of music – music inspired by the sounds of the Drive Soundtrack. This mix features new releases that I feel would have fit perfectly on the soundtrack.
This is Volume 2 in the mix series of songs that sound like they would be included in a modern day John Hughes Soundtrack. I used a few different approaches in picking songs. Some of these songs might perfectly fit in one of his 80s masterpieces while others are guess how the sounds that he covets might have evolved over the years.
