The much anticipated 30th Anniversary Disintegration tour made it’s start with a 4 day run at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. The show was a treat for all hard core fans of The Cure. One of the marquee songs from The Verve (and of the Brit Pop era in general), Bitter Sweet Symphony, is a song with legal controversy. It was determined that the song was based on the Rolling Stones song The Last Time. The Verve had originally received permission to sample the song but were sued by the Rolling Stones manager claiming that they used more of the song than was agreed upon.

The Dublin band INHALER has been getting a lot of buzz lately. Fronted by Bono’s son Eli Hewson, the band has just released a slobberknocker of a new single called My Honest Face. Noel Gallagher has described the band as a mix between Echo And The Bunnymen with old U2, which seems appropriate given their lineage.
