On this day in history (November 4, 1987), Sinead O’Connor released her debut album The Lion And The Cobra featuring the singles Mandinka, I Want Your (Hands On Me) and Troy. This album was recording while she was pregnant with her first child.
The title of the album is fro Psalm 91:13 “you will tread upon the lion and the cobra”. Taking that a step further, the song Never Get Old opens with an Irish language recital of Psalm 91 by Enya.
