This article highlights some of the new music that was released the week ending May 03, 2019.
Saint Etienne
The new single Saturday Boy was recorded during the sessions of their last album, Home Counties. It wasn’t mixed in time to be released on the album but was subsequently made available during Record Store Day this year.
Operators
Taken from the forthcoming album Radiant Dawn due out on May 17. This track has a modern-retro synth sound to it. It has an OMD feel to it and it’s easy to picture Molly Ringwald dancing in The Breakfast Club to this song.
Electric City Cowboys
Taken from the album Superstar. This track will make you Shazam it, double checking to see if it’s a new Pet Shop Boys song.
The Ninth Wave
Taken from the new album Infancy Part 1. This track sounds like a cross between White Lies and Placebo. This has a big modern-rock-synth-infused sound to it.
Graveyard Club
The new single It Hurts is taken off the bands forthcoming album. These guys are easily one of my favorite modern rock bands and this song doesn’t disappoint.
