The much anticipated 30th Anniversary Disintegration tour made it’s start with a 4 day run at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. The show was a treat for all hard core fans of The Cure. Not only did they get to hear Disintegration in it’s entirety, but The Cure surprised the crowd with an encore of b-sides and rarities, playing all of the b-sides from the Disintegration era.
Terri Nunn and Berlin are back with a brand new single called Transendance, which is also the title track of a forthcoming album due out in August. The band is keeping busy in the meantime as they are out on the road touring with The B-52’s and OMD.
On this 30th anniversary of the release of Disintegraton, The Cure has announced that they will be live streaming their final concert from their stint in Australia at the Sydney Opera House.
In a tweet earlier today, The Cure have announced that they will be playing this years Austin City Limits Music Festival in October. This is the first North American tour date that they have announced so far.
On June 21, Prince’s estate will released an album of previously unreleased material called Originals. This album includes recordings taken from his historic vault and consists of songs that he originally penned for the likes of The Time, Apollonia 6, Vanity 6, Shiela E, Martika and more.

Howard Jones has released the second single off of his upcoming album Transform, due out on May 10th. This follows the first track Beating Mr Neg, released last month. This song has a classic Howard Jones 80s sound to it with a bit of a funk edge to it.

Duran Duran has posted a few treats for us this weekend. First off, the band posted an official live video for Is There Something I Should Know, taken from the famous As The Lights Go Down concert series that were filmed during the Arena tour in 1984. The vinyl version of As The Lights Go Down was a much sought after commodity this record store day.
There have been reports of a movie about Depeche Mode coming to Netflix this summer. The movie is a documentary telling the story of six dedicated, long-time Depeche Mode fans from six countries. The film ends with each of the fans meeting up for the bands Berlin concert, which was the final concert of the 2018 Spirit tour.
