Gary Numan’s recent collaboration with the techno duo MOTOR has just been release as an exclusive 3-track remix EP made available through Beat Port. The EP feature 3 versions of the track Pleasure In Heaven, including the Drumcell Remix and the Xhin Remix to go along with the original version.
If a few new remixes isn’t enough for you, then get ready for an official retrospective book titled Gary Numan: Now..And Then to be released by Artrocker on November 26th. The book covers the past, present and future of Gary’s music. Fans of The Charlatans, take note! Frontman Tim Burgess is working on a new solo LP. Oh No, I Love You will be released October 1 and includes collaborations with Kurt Wagner of Lambchop as well as member of My Morning Jacket and Clem Snide.
It’s been a busy year for Burgess, who toured with The Charlatans to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of their Tellin’ Stories LP. Britpop fans take note! Penguin General Publishing has announced a memoir by The Charlatans’ frontman Tim Burgess. The book, set for an April 26 release, will be named after the band’s 1997 album, Telling Stories, their most successful release to date; sporting 3 top 10 singles.
The book, Telling Stories, according to Penguin, is an incredibly frank and vivid memoir, in which Burgess describes the mad life of a rock star: the dynamics of the band, the creativity and the self-destruction, the sex and the drugs but also the rock ‘n roll – his obsession with music shines off the page as he writes about his influences and his encounters, from Dylan to New Order, from the Rolling Stones to Oasis.

Partnering with NCM Fathom, Omniverse and EMI Music, Rowlands and Simons will present the film, The Chemical Brothers Don’t Think in select movie theaters on Wednesday, February 1 for ONE NIGHT ONLY. Originally captured in 2011, at the iconic Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, this event captures the synesthetic barrage of sound, film and light and the transforming effect it has on its audience.
