In 2010, San Francisco Shoegaze artist Tamaryn made ‘waves’ (see what we did there?) on Strangeways Radio with their debut record. They quickly became favorites amongst listeners and DJ’s alike with tracks like Love Fade and Dawning. A huge 2011 tour supporting The Raveonettes further solidified their standing as an up and coming band to keep eyes and ears on.
Thankfully, the long wait for new material is over. While their Sophomore record, Tender New Signs won’t be released until Ooctober 16th, the dreamy first single, I’m Gone is here!

One of the hardest working bands in the biz is at it again. The Raveonettes are a non-stop music making, touring machine. Following a year in which they released a full length album (Raven In The Grave), a 27-track B-sides and Rarities compilation and a full scale tour, you would think they would take a breath. Not this duo! Their latest EP, Night Comes Out was released at the end of April and they have just announced a slew of North American dates. Before you think that it is it for 2012, they have also promised another full length record before the end of the year. Breathe, Raveonettes…Breathe!

The Danish Indie Rock duo of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo are gearing up for a huge 2012. In 2011, they did no less than release their 5th LP, Raven In The Grave (which spawned 3 singles), launch a massive tour, appear on 3 Soundtracks and grace us with their first compilation, the 27-track career-spanning Rarities/B-Sides.
Although still early in 2012, they have announced a 4-song EP, Into The Night, which will be available on April 24. Following the EP, they will be recording their 6th full length record for release later this year. They have also announced a first set of dates in Denmark, Australia and Chicago. The Denmark dates will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their debut, Whip It On, which they will perform in its entirety with original live members, Manoj Ramdas and Jakob Hoyer, and special guests like Glasvegas’ James Allan. The Australian dates will be co-headlined by The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Look for a full scale North American and European tour later this year as well.
