Strangeways Artist Spotlight: Computers Want Me Dead

The New Zealand two piece band Computers Want Me Dead, consisting of Sam Harvey and Damien Daniels, has been taking the Strangeways airwaves by storm this last year. They like to call their sound retro-futuristic, and that label suits them well. Modern bands with a retro-sound are becoming very popular on our airwaves, and Computers Want Me Dead are at the forefront of this movement.

Their standout tracks ‘Letters And Numbers’ and ‘In The Blood’ have been featured on several of the Strangeways shows and has been selected several times by the listeners in their own listener submitted appreciate shows. Additionally, this has been a popular track for the Strangeways DJ’s to play in clubs and is usually accompanied by a line of people running up to the DJ booth and asking ‘What Was That?’…in a good way!
