Moby teams up with Swatch; Wear ‘Little Idiot’ on your wrist or design your own

Moby - Little IdiotElectronic pioneer Moby has recently collaborated with swiss watch maker SWATCH on a special edition ‘Little Idiot’ watch.  Little Idiot is a animated character that has appeared in Moby videos and cover art.

The watch is a limited edition and comes in special packaging, with prints of Moby’s hand drawn ‘Little Idiot’ character on the watch and the packaging.  This collectors item can be purchased at the Swatch Store.

Moby mentions:

“I started drawing cartoon characters in the mid 80′s when i worked in an underground record store. every bag that left the store had a drawing on it, and one of my jobs was to draw the cartoons on the bags. and since then the little cartoon characters have just taken on lives of their own.”

In an interview on Comics Alliance, Moby explains the origin of Little Idiot, and how he used the character to answer all of the questions in his EPK for the album Wait For Me.

Moby would also like to see your interpretation of the Little Idiot.  You can draw, paint, or construct your interpretation and submit pictures of your creations to Moby.  The top 3 adaptions will receive one of the limited edition watches.  Details of the “What Does Your Little Idiot Look Like” contest can be found here.
