Label Spotlight – Beko DSL

bekoBEKO DSL, out of France, is a rather unique label. Not only are they digital only, but they are…FREE. Each Monday, BEKO DSL makes a new digital single available. Sometimes we get bonus treats, like the recent full length, A Tribute to Club Tropicana Vol 2 or a new BEKO Box edition.

The bands featured on the BEKO DSL singles should be no strangers to Strangeways Radio listeners; Memoryhouse, Millionyoung, The Bilinda Butchers, Arctic Flow, Moscow Olympics, Skeleton Hands, Azure Blue, The Never Years and more!

The MP3s are available for free DL and are archived in .rar format, which is not unlike a .zip file. Not familiar? Never fear! RarZilla is a safe, easy and free DL which you can grab from download.cnet.com

The latest BEKO DSL single features The Never Years, a band that has been featured twice in recent weeks on Strangeways Radio. The band, fronted by Jamie Long, is out of Houston, TX. The new single features 5 tracks; Send Me Down, Your Time, Aquarium, Lost, and Honey Island.

The Never Years – Honey Island

We first discovered The Never Years thru the Beko DSL compilation, A Tribute to Club Tropicana Vol 2, which also features a couple of our favorites from 2011 in Skeleton Hands and Azure Blue as well as tracks from Germany Germany, Mother Of Pearl, Radioseven and Work Drugs. Like everything else on BEKO DSL, the compilation is available for a free DL.
