This article highlights some of the new music that was released the week ending May 17, 2019.
Azure Blue
The Swedish band released the single Millions Of Stars. One review of the single called it ”a melancholic orgy of arpeggio synths”. This sounds to us like what would happen if you merged a John Hughes soundtrack song with a song from the Drive soundtrack.
Information Society
The retro synth band released a new single today called Bennington. This is a cover of a track from John Maus. This cover is pretty true to the original, with a bit of an Information Society flair to it.
Operators
This is taken off of the bands new album Radiant Dawn which is already one of our favorite albums of the year. Every song sounds like it belongs on a John Hughes soundtrack. We could have easily featured any of the songs off the album here this week.
Paralysed Age
Taken from the bands new album Intermezzo. This will appear to fans of dark vampirish vocals like Peter Murphy. The band has been compared to dark waves artist like Cruxshadows and VNV Nation
Cold Showers
This is the third single released off of the post punk bands album Motionless which is due out next week. We can already tell that this will be another of our favorite albums of the year. The singles sound like Cold Cave and The Cure, which is a pretty great thing to sound like.
