This article highlights some of the new music that was released the week ending May 10, 2019.
All Hail The Silence
The electronic super group featuring BT and Christian Burns just got a remix treatment from none other than Erasure’s Vince Clarke. This version of The Alarm definitely has a dance floor Clarke feel to it. Be sure to catch All Hail The Silence on tour with Howard Jones this summer.
Vogon Poetry
Speaking of remixes and Erasure, this new Electric City Cowboys remix of the Vogon Poetry single for Exposed Thoughts will appeal to fans of Erasure, both vocally and musically.
Penguin Prison
The Heat is a brand new single from the New York electropop act. This is recommended for fans of Hot Chip, Cut Copy or LCD Soundsystem. Loving the chorus of “Don’t you get freaked out…”.
The Flowers
Truly Madly Sleepy is the infectious indie pop debut single from The Flowers. Picture a more jangle-pop version of Chvrches. We can’t wait to hear more from this band who describes their music as “sad happy songs for people who enjoy sad happy things”.
