This article highlights some of the new music that was released the week ending March 25, 2019. This weeks selections feature a few classing sounding post punk tracks, a synthpop song, and a couple dancey electronica numbers. Overall, this was a good week for new releases.
Ritual Howls
Taken from their new album Rendered Armor. This is a textbook post punk track that is recommended for fans of Joy Division or Bauhaus.
Foreign Resort
This is the second single from their album Outnumbered, due out April 5. This track will remind you of a cross between Cold Cave and old school music from The Cure.
The Chain Gang Of 1974
This is a stand alone single released today that has a touch of a M83 flavor to it. Hopefully, this is in advance of a new full length album in our near future.
Touch Sensitive featuring Kitten
This single is an electronic thumper that started off reminding me of Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn on heavy electronic steroids. It’s no surprise that I like this as everything with Kitten’s name on it ends up being worth listening to.
TR/ST
This is some upbeat synthpop/electronica and the 3rd single off of the forthcoming album, The Destroyer. It seems like there is a new single each week from this album. Maybe because, there is!
Fujiya & Miyagi
Flashback is a pure electronica track that fans of New Order’s Fine Time will enjoy. This is off a forthcoming album due out at the end of May.
