You know that feeling when you see a song title that is vaguely familiar, and you say to yourself, wait…that could be a cover…please be a cover…no way that could be a cover of THIS…but oh it is!
The London trio HÆLOS went and perfectly melded 90’s loungey-Triphop with late 80’s Synthpop by covering The Beloved’s The Sun Rising. Vocalist Lotti Benardout puts a whole new spin on the track, while the eerie sirens and breakbeats breathe new life. Like the original, the new take samples vocals from Emily van Evera’s O Euchari.
